Marchand-Tawse is a distinguished Burgundian wine producer founded by Pascal Marchand, a French Canadian winemaker with a deep passion for Burgundy's terroir, and Moray Tawse, a Canadian wine enthusiast and businessman. Together, they created a micro-négociant that combines tradition and innovation by sourcing grapes from growers committed to organic and biodynamic practices. Starting in 2005, their partnership led to the acquisition of Domaine Maume in Gevrey-Chambertin, renamed Domaine Tawse, expanding their portfolio to include prestigious Grand Crus such as Mazis-Chambertin and Charmes-Chambertin. Marchand-Tawse and Domaine Tawse produce a range of expressive, elegant, and balanced wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, respecting the environment and reflecting the unique qualities of each vineyard and vintage through minimal cellar intervention.
