Behind the Cellar Door Imports is a boutique wine importing and distribution company focused on sourcing distinctive, high‑quality wines from independent producers around the world. Founded on the belief that great wine should be both expressive and accessible, we prioritize wines that deliver a genuine sense of place without relying on corporate scale or inflated pricing.
Much of our portfolio comes from family‑owned wineries and small, independently operated estates. These are producers closely connected to their vineyards, regions, and traditions, resulting in wines that offer real character, authenticity, and story—even at approachable price points.
Our approach is intentionally selective. Rather than building a broad, commoditized catalog, we curate a focused portfolio of producers who share our commitment to quality, consistency, and integrity. We view ourselves as long‑term partners to our wineries, working collaboratively on market positioning and sustainable growth while preserving what makes each wine distinctive.
For our customers, this means access to wines that consistently overdeliver—wines chosen with care, represented with integrity, and valued for the story they tell from vineyard to glass.

NV Antica Fratta Franciacorta Cuvée Real Brut
The NV Brut Franciacorta Cuvee Real offers a captivating bouquet of crushed flowers, stone dust, lemon oil and young pears. The palate is supple and round, with a delicate bead of bubbles. A balanced sweetness intertwines with hints of tart citrus, while white pit fruits give way to an almondy richness towards the close. Subtle notes of brown spice linger as inner florals add complexity to the remarkably fresh finale.

Antica Fratta
Antica Fratta is one of the historic names of Franciacorta, Italy’s most prestigious region for traditional-method sparkling wine. Located in Monticelli Brusati, in the heart of Franciacorta’s rolling hills, the estate traces its roots to a 19th-century cellar carved into the rock, originally built in 1850. Since 1979, Antica Fratta has focused on producing refined, bottle-aged Franciacorta with an emphasis on elegance, freshness, and precision. The estate works with vineyards spread across roughly 30 hectares, drawing from different hillside sites and valley locations to create wines with balance, depth, and a clear sense of place. For customers familiar with Champagne, Franciacorta offers a useful comparison: it is made using the same traditional method but expresses the character of northern Italy’s Lombardy region. Antica Fratta’s style is polished and graceful, with fine bubbles, careful aging, and a focus on wines that feel both celebratory and gastronomic. Today, Antica Fratta is regarded as a benchmark producer and a true “Home of Franciacorta,” combining history, craftsmanship, and a patient approach to sparkling wine.
